End of the Green Teas

Posted by admin on Oct 18, 2010 in gloria jeans, green tea, tea, thumbs down

Back to the green teas, Yayy! In case you couldn’t sense it – that was sarcasm. The only good thing about this Gloria Jean’s Low Caffeine Serenity Green k-cup is that it is the last green tea I will ever have to drink – ever.
I know this sounds unnecessarily bitter of me, but you don’t know what [...]

Celestial’s Traditional Green Tea

Posted by admin on Oct 14, 2010 in celestial, green tea, tea

And today we have yet another infamous green tea k-cup to taste… Celestial’s Traditional Green Tea.
I have to say – it’s not that bad a k-cup. I wouldn’t drink it by choice… but it has a nice flavor to it. From the many green tea keurig k-cups I’ve tried this is up there on the [...]

Chai-ing up the Green Tea

Posted by admin on Oct 2, 2010 in Bigelow, green tea, tea, thumbs up

Today I am trying Bigelow’s chai green tea k-cup. Hopefully, the chai flavoring will help this tea go down easier, and I can still get the health benefits of green tea without the awful taste.
I added a bit of warm milk and sweetener, and I have to say, not bad. It’s not exactly a chai [...]

Celestial’s Decaf Green Tea

Posted by admin on Oct 1, 2010 in celestial, green tea, tea, thumbs down

Yesterday’s Green tea tasting didn’t go over very well, but I’m giving it another shot with another green tea k-cup.
This time I am going with Celestial’s Decaf Green Tea k-cup. Celestial has followed through in the past, so hopefully it won’t leave me disappointed this time.
And… Nothing. It still has that disagreeable taste of green [...]

Continuing the Tea Journey

Posted by admin on Sep 30, 2010 in Bigelow, green tea, thumbs down

TWENTY ONE.
That’s how many tea k-cups I have left to taste.
TWENTY ONNNNEEEE! That’s three full weeks! Do you know what that is to a tea hater? Eternityyy!
BLahhh – I don’t think I can do it. Not to mention, the only flavors left are the greeny, leafy, herbal tasting ones. No more exotic fruit or French [...]

Bigelow’s Blaah Green Tea

Posted by admin on Sep 10, 2010 in Bigelow, green tea, tea, thumbs down

Just to confirm yesterday’s suspicion that the pomegranate green tea disliking was because it was a green tea, I’ve decided to taste Bigelow’s Green Tea k-cup today to see if it is at all tolerable.
And my suspicion has been confirmed. I don’t know what it is but green tea just has this awful ‘blahh’ herbal [...]

Bigelow’s Pomegranate Green Tea

Posted by admin on Sep 9, 2010 in Bigelow, fruity, green tea, tea, thumbs down

While looking through my k-cups today, I came across another pomegranate flavored tea. Last time I tried Gloria Jean’s pomegranate tea k-cup and I remember enjoying it very much.
So, today I will be trying Bigelow’s Pomegranate Green Tea k-cup.
It doesn’t have a very strong smell, or taste for that matter. It has a rather dull, [...]

The Guggenheim With a Side of Green Tea Please

Posted by admin on Jun 25, 2010 in green tea, tea, twinings

After my daunting experience yesterday with the Irish Cream K-cup, I decided I needed a minor break from tasting coffee. I know, I know, the blog is 200 flavors in 200 days, so there isn’t much room for breaks – but I do have the flexibility of changing it up to tasting tea k-cups.
So, before [...]
