Colombian Marathon Final

Posted by admin on Jul 29, 2010 in Green Mountain, Timothy's, colombian, thumbs up, wolfgang puck |

The final k-cup for the Colombian Marathon is Green Mountain’s Colombian Fair Trade Select. The name itself makes it sound pretty prestigious, but we will see what the taste test says.

And its name lives up to its taste!

Now the question is which Colombian coffee did I enjoy most? The Timothy’s Colombian Dorado was good, but I think it was only in relation to Timothy’s Colombian La Vereda, so we can eliminate that k-cup. I remember the Wolf Gang Puck Colombian k-cup really stood out. I think it may be a tie between Green Mountain’s Colombian Fair Trade Select and Wolf Gang Puck’s Colombian.

Except Wolf Gang puck had a major advantage since it was flooded with coffee-mate and the Green Mountain cup of coffee was only with milk and a bit of sugar.

I think the only way to make it fair is to retry Wolf Gang Puck’s Chef Reserve Colombian and this time without any coffee-mate. That will be the true test, because if I, Coffee Hater Anonymous, can drink it straight up then it MUST be a great k-cup!
